Why we love this
Rosa Gallica Aurelianensis is a restrike engraving from Jean-Pierre Redoute's book of prints "Les Roses." French-Belgian artist Redouté was one of the most famous botanical artists of the 18th century. He was the court artist for Marie Antoinette and was nicknamed "The Raphael of Flowers." Printed on Rives BFK French art paper by the Paris Etching Society in the early 1950s.
