Made on the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, this blanket is woven on a traditional Mayan backstrap loom using thick, soft cotton and colored with locally sourced natural dyes. Faint ikat stripes, tied by hand, distinguish this design from traditional stripes, making each throw one-of-a-kind. Three panels are woven for each blanket and stitched together by hand in the decorative randa technique. Due to the handmade nature of this piece, variations in color, tone, and pattern may occur.
