Coming from an artistic background, I look for jewelry that makes a statement and sparks the imagination. Growing up in Atlanta's oldest suburb, antiquing was a way of life. My mother was a collector and traveled the South harvesting her treasures. I travel the same route, from New Orleans to Charleston, hand-selecting each piece of wearable art I offer.
Why we love this
1971 gold-plated rope necklace designed by Henkel and Grosse. Henkel and Grosse was licensed to design and sell high-end costume jewelry for the Christian Dior brand from the 1950s to 2005. This piece is signed on the back of the pendant and dated 1971. Unclasped chain, 24"L ; pendant, 2.65"L x 2"W. Light patina to back.
