Oil on canvas by Eduoard Dufeu. Dufeu a French artist was born in 1836 in Marseille. In 1860 he begins his art studies under the famous Charles Gleyre. Between 1865 and 1890 he studies under Antoine Vallon. He exhibits at the Paris Salon with immense success. He is well known for his Venice subjects due to his study in Venice for 4 years. He dies in 1900 in Paris. This work is housed in its original frame. Label on back. Signed lower right.
