Why we love this
An 18th-Century Dutch Delft faience charger. This is a hand painted charger in the traditional cobalt blue and white. The blue color is quite dark and vibrant in this piece. It is a Chinese chinoiserie design comprised of fruit, foliate and floral design, quite compact. It was painted to imitate the Asian porcelain that was produced in China for export. Like most antique Delft, it is unmarked.
