Why we love this
Eloise by Kay Thompson & Hilary Knight. NY: Simon & Schuster, 1955. Truly rare, stated first printing. Faint yellowing to book boards. Tiny wear to 2 page edges internally. Unclipped jacket ($2.95) has minor wear to spine. With original text, different in later editions. "Brooklyn Dodgers" instead of "New York Jets" on jacket. "My mother knows Lily Dache" now "Coco Chanel." "Here's what I like...Grass" became "Dandelions" and "I hate Peter Rabbit" removed, among other changes. Very collectible.
