Why we love this
Ben Benn's 1980s watercolor is a scenic country lane. Born in Russia, Benn (1884-1983) is considered a pioneer of American modernist art after emigrating in the late 1890s. "Farm Lane" is a fine example of Benn's ability to capture the emotion of the moment as a true abstract expressionist would. His works are in many museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art.This painting on paper is signed and dated on the lower right. Framed in gold with a white mat. Size without Frame: 25 x 18 in.
