Why we love this
Pair of French opalescent glass Boule d'Escalier (newel post finials). 19th century pieces used to adorn staircase newel posts. They would also make beautiful finials for a drapery rod. Rarely found in pairs, these are from an 19th century home near Paris. No maker's mark. Light wear.
