An antique print is a dazzling way to add a sense of history to your surroundings. And when the print is impeccably framed, you add elegance to a wall. Vintage Print Gallery's collection is impressive not just in the quality of its offerings but also in its breadth, which ranges from 18th-century botanical studies to 19th-century equestrian chromolithographs and fashion illustrations from the early-20th century.
Why we love this
This is an original lithographic map taken from Crams Universal Atlas of the World, which was published between 1894 and 1899. George F. Cram served as a staff cartographer for Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War before he began his career in map publishing with his uncle in 1867. After the war Cram moved to Chicago and established his own company in 1869 to become the leading map firm and the first American firm to publish a world atlas. Framed in a wood moulding, cream mat, and UV glass.
