Welcome to Prints with a Past. Since 1997 we have shared our love of original antique and vintage prints with our clients. The business grew out of our enjoyment in antiquing while living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and collecting prints for our home and to give as gifts. We take great pride in presenting a diverse selection of original engravings and lithographs from the late 1700s through early 1900s, and sharing the story about each one. —Your hosts, Nancy and Dick Bossler.
Why we love this
Original chromolithograph of the Cliff Date Palm (Phoenix rupicola), a plant native to India. The print appeared in a 1880s issue of the Belgium horticultural journal "L'Illustration Horticole." Based on an illustration by Pieter de Pannemaeker, watercolor artist and printmaker active in Ghent, Belgium in the 19th century. Includes a certificate with additional information and copy of accompanying text page.
