Pair of 18th-century to early-19th-century Delft plates. The figure is 'Lange Lijs' or Long Eliza and is based on Chinese porcelain examples. Hand-molded and -painted with a chinoiserie design including a figure, gate, tree and surrounded by a floral and foliate motif. Tin-glazed faience. Orange border. Marked De Porceleyne Bijl (1657-1803). Light fritting.
