Batten Road was born in the ‘70s when a crazed book-lover returned from college to work in Soho at one of the country's (world's??) most famous Art & Architecture bookstores. To feed the addiction (and rent), she quickly picked up two other jobs so the love affair with books need not end. Eventually, the addiction grew to hunting for wonderful decorative accessories, furniture, tabletop and lighting.
Why we love this
By-Line: Ernest Hemingway by Ernest Hemingway. Edited by William White. Chas. Scribners, 1967. First Edition. 489 pgs. Includes jacket. Hemingway started his professional career as a reporter and continued that pursuit for forty years, covering the Spanish Civil War and World War II among many other events and topics around the globe, all of which informed his prose. A must for the Hemingway fan or collector with light jacket wear and a pristine interior.
