Welcome to Prints with a Past. Since 1997 we have shared our love of original antique and vintage prints with our clients. The business grew out of our enjoyment in antiquing while living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and collecting prints for our home and to give as gifts. We take great pride in presenting a diverse selection of original engravings and lithographs from the late 1700s through early 1900s, and sharing the story about each one. —Your hosts, Nancy and Dick Bossler.
Why we love this
Original 1850s hand-colored engraving of Pheasants based on an illustration by Edouard Travies (1809-1865), one of the best known French natural history artists of the first half of the 1800s. Shown are the Golden Pheasant and Bornean crested fireback Pheasant. Displayed in a conservation mat that fits a standard frame size. Image, 6"L x 10"H; overall, 12"L x 16"H. Includes a certificate with additional information and original page of accompanying text.
