Why we love this
A large pink and white transfer printed earthenware platter, Staffordshire, England, circa mid-late 19th Century. A shaped rim with a floral border alternating with images of buildings frames a central image of an exotic landscape. A castle-like building is in the foreground with peacocks and a horse and rider with a standing attendant. Similar buildings and floral bouquets are seen in the distance. Maker unknown. Excellent antique condition.
