Oil on canvas by John Westall. Westall was an English artist that flourish between 1873 and 1893. While not much is known about his personal life, his works are present today both in BBC collection and in the Royal Academy. In 1885 he was one of two artist that submitted more than 15 works to the Academy. He is known for his landscapes and also for his extensive work in the Suffolk Street galleries. Signed lower right and housed in its original frame.
