Why we love this
This engraving is part of a 17th century series of Roman intaglios, extremely rare. Printed in Rome on papyrus paper and dated 1678. It has an explanation on the front and writing on the back. This particular one portrays a teacher. We are fortunate to be in possession of 5 such engravings.
