Why we love this
Map of the World dated 1843. Engraved by George Aikman in Edinburgh and published in London and Edinburgh. Aikman was a part of the Aikman family of artists and engraved all his maps by hand. Engraved on a steel plate, the map still holds its original colors. Based on the mercantile routes this map was drawn exclusively by hand. A beautiful map.
