Why we love this
James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl, illustrated by Nancy Ekholm Burkert. New York: Knopf, 1961. Red cloth, gilt titles, blindstamp on front board, yellow top stain. First edition, second printing, with Book Press in the four-line colophon. First state jacket with $3.95 price and no ISBN to rear, with general yellowing and wear. Dahl's first book for children, published in the U.S. well before the UK edition. With slight wear to green inner board, from book-plate removal, otherwise fine.
