Whether your interests lie in poetry, art history, first editions of modern classics, or getting hold of some favorite childhood book, this is the perfect way to rediscover the best books from the last 70 years. Unless indicated, almost all books are US or UK first editions and all defects are noted.
Why we love this
The Burden and The Glory by President John F. Kennedy. New York: Harper and Row, 1964. First printing, re-bound in blue leather, with gold edges and embossed Presidential seal. Signed on first page: 'with appreciation Jacqueline Kennedy'. A presentation copy of JFK's collected speeches. The front hinge of the book is beginning to show signs of weakness and the signed page seems to have a slight ripple, possibly from a book-plate removal. Otherwise, a highly unusual and collectible item.
