Why we love this
Francois de Montholon was a French artist born in 1856. Severely disabled born with only one arm and no legs he studied under Louis Emile Dordoize between 1879 and 1881. Post impressionist artist he exhibited between 1879 and 1939 at the Salon de Paris. He opened a very well known studio in Paris in rue la Bruyere. In 1908 he won the prestigious Morlot prize at the Salon des Artisted Francais. This work is signed lower right and is very indicative of Montholon's work.
