Why we love this
Pair of antique English Staffordshire King Charles Spaniels. Created in homage to honor Queen Victoria's beloved dog Dash. These are numbered with a number one, the best quality Staffordshire dogs were numbered (the smaller the number the larger the dogs). Number one dogs with black decoration are among the rarest. As with most early Staffordshire, there is not a maker's mark. Light wear, crazing.
