Batten Road was born in the ‘70s when a crazed book-lover returned from college to work in Soho at one of the country's (world's??) most famous Art & Architecture bookstores. To feed the addiction (and rent), she quickly picked up two other jobs so the love affair with books need not end. Eventually, the addiction grew to hunting for wonderful decorative accessories, furniture, tabletop and lighting.
Why we love this
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold by John Le Carre. Coward-McCann, 1964. First American Edition, 6th Impression. LeCarre's bestselling third novel catapulted him to literary stardom and was the basis for the hit movie starring Richard Burton. Minor wear to jacket and boards.
