Why we love this
French hand-painted porcelain oyster plate, circa 1890. A dimensional mold with a fluted, gilded rim and overlapping scallop shells radiating from the center. Five cream-colored oyster shell shaped wells with hand-painted gold-lined eyes. The flowers and leaves of the violet plant are painted on a soft blue ground. Marked with an impressed mold number – 3330, maker unknown.
