Why we love this
A Portuguese, earthenware covered tureen formed as a seated duck, with a duckling finial on the lid, circa late 19th to possibly very early 20th Century. Beautifully hand glazed with soft coloring and realistically molded. The lid is slotted for a ladle.A faint impressed mark on the bottom, reading “Portugal.” A small older glaze sliver to the rim of the base, unseen when the lid is seated. The expected darkening to the base’s interior. age wear
