Why we love this
Watercolor painting of Lichfield Cathedral by Swedish-born artist Axel Herman Haig (1835 - 1921). Image: 7.5"L x 9"H. Haig was a shipbuilder, architectural draftsman, a noted artist, and co-founder of the Royal Academy of Painters, Etchers and Engravers. Considered "The Gothic Piranesi," he is widely collected and the Victoria & Albert Museum and British Museum own large collections of his etchings.
