Why we love this
Pair of silver-plate covered tureens, dated April 25th, 1874, Martin and Hall, Sheffield, England. Engraved with scrolling ivy leaves and ferns, a running cut log border, in the Aesthetic style. Two cartouches, one for initialing, the other shows a bird under the ribboned motto: My Hope is Constant in Thee. Ring handles are removable for nested storage. Marked with registry diamond, and silver hallmarks. Unpolished.
