Oil on canvas by George Knight. Knight was an English marine artist active between 1872 and 1892. He exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1883 with 23 works. Member of the British Institute of Art and the Royal Scottish Academy. Knight was part of an artist family with his father being one of the marine artist of the 18th century. Great contributor to the Suffolk Street Galleries art colony. Gorgeous piece signed lower left.
