A Dallas native, Gray Malin hunts the globe for the unusual beauty captured in his photographs. He often plays with perspective through height, helicoptering over the beaches of Brazil and sending balloons above the mystical plains of Joshua Tree National Park. Malin first broke onto the scene in West Hollywood, CA, at a Sunday market, where his prints caught the interest of gallery owners, interior designers, and stylish Angelenos. Malin's work has been displayed in the Dallas Museum of Art and has been published around the world in publications such as the London "Observer."
Why we love this

Signed by Gray Malin, this aerial image comes from his "À la Plage" series. Shot from doorless helicopters, this series takes an overhead look at beach and pool scenes around the world, from Brazil to Australia. From a carefully calibrated distance, Malin says, "people and objects become patterns creating repetition, shape, and form. These photographs are a visual celebration of color, light, shape--and summer bliss." This work is unframed and does not arrive ready to hang.
