Why we love this
Majolica hanging planter by Hornberg Pottery Works, circa 1860. Hornberg Pottery Works was founded by Georg Friedrich Horn in the Black Forest region of Germany in 1817. With the original chains, this planter is glazed in a deep yellow ochre and shows a geometric paneled rim supported by a trio of male heads with green leaf beards. The bowl terminates in a leaf pattern knob. Impressed Hornberg mark. Chains: 20"L. Glaze wear on the noses of two of the figures and on the point of the bottom knob.
