Welcome to Prints with a Past. Since 1997 we have shared our love of original antique and vintage prints with our clients. The business grew out of our enjoyment in antiquing while living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and collecting prints for our home and to give as gifts. We take great pride in presenting a diverse selection of original engravings and lithographs from the late 1700s through early 1900s, and sharing the story about each one. —Your hosts, Nancy and Dick Bossler.
Why we love this
Original chromolithograph from the first edition of Victor Petit's guide to the layout of parks and gardens in and around Paris. Published in 1861, this print shows the design for a Belvedere (Italian for beautiful view) and a Kiosk, two elevated structures to provide a fine view of the garden. Petit (1818-1871) was known for his architecture and architectural history illustrations. Includes a certificate with background information about the print.
