Why we love this
A superb pair of entirely hand-painted oyster plates from the Belle Epoch era, with paintings of oyster bay sceneries to the center wells, enhanced with embossed motif of shells, accents of violet luster and gilding, further enriched with raised monogram in gold. These plates reflect the oppulent life style of the wealthy during Gilded Age. Handwritten to base "G. Mansard 34 Rue Paradis Paris" indicating the name and address of the upscale bespoke tableware retailer of the time.
