Why we love this
Landscape oil painting on artist board by Ben Carré (French/American 1883-1978) titled "Spring Sunlight, Marne" circa 1912. Born in Paris, France he was a member of the Painters & Sculptors Club and art director in the motion picture industry in Hollywood California. He came to California in 1912 and by the 1930’s was painting and exhibiting his artwork. Signed lower left. Displayed in gold gilt wood frame. Artwork, 10.5"L x 8.5"H. Hanging wire included. Painting, excellent; frame, minor wear.
