Welcome to Prints with a Past. Since 1997 we have shared our love of original antique and vintage prints with our clients. The business grew out of our enjoyment in antiquing while living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and collecting prints for our home and to give as gifts. We take great pride in presenting a diverse selection of original engravings and lithographs from the late 1700s through early 1900s, and sharing the story about each one. —Your hosts, Nancy and Dick Bossler.
Why we love this
Original chromolithograph print from an 1870s folio on freshwater fish of the British Isles. Shown are the Welsh and Alpine Charr. Based on an illustration by the British artist Alexander Lydon (1836-1917). Charr are part of the same family as Salmon and Trout, and are native to arctic and subarctic coastal waters. Includes a certificate with additional information and copy of the accompanying text page.
