Reproduction of the woodblock print "Bay of Noboto" by Hokusai Katsushika Bay, part of his 36 Views of Mt. Fuji series, first published in 1831-1835 when Hokusai was in his 70s. It is believed to be by one of his students. The print depicts farmers at Noboto Coast. The scene is beautifully balanced around the torii gate with all natural elements, as if sea, sky, land, forest, mountain, people are all contained within a higher law. Ukiyo-e style. Minor age wear, some foxing.
