Why we love this
Early 20th C. rustic metal cone-shaped colander and pointed wooden masher. The sieve has a metal handle and hooks on the top and bottom to attach to a pot or bowl and sits on a circular frame stand. They were typically used to puree and strain fruits and vegetables for sauces or canning with the wood pestle also serving as a rolling pin. Nice patina from age and use. Still perfectly functional or for use as a decorative accent. Pestle 2.75"Dia,11.5"H, sieve 7.25"Dia rim, 8.75"H.
