Why we love this
Pair of English papercut chair silhouettes. Black silhouette on cream paper. The frames are hand-gilt. The inscription on the back explains the origin of the artwork: they are English printed reproductions from a 1978 series of an original Edouard van Goethem painting (1857-1924). They are also labeled with an "L" and an "R" to denote white silhouette is to be hung on the "Left" or "Right." They are also signed by the artist "SKC" on the bottom right corners. Wear to finish on painted frame.
