Why we love this
An earthenware, Austrian majolica lobster or crawfish plate, by Schutz Blansko, circa 1900. A bold, aesthetic mold showing a red lobster on a bed of cream and blue-green colored leaves. The notched rim is glazed in a rich yellow ochre. Incredible color.‘Majolika, Steingut und Schamottefabrik Gebrüder Schütz’ was located in Liboje near Cilli. Their main market was Austria and Germany.Impressed makers mark, mold number 3927.5 in. DiameterExcellent condition.
