A three piece English boxed carving set dating from the end of the 19th century consistine of a carving knife, fork, and sharpening steel. All three pieces have stage horn handles which have been fitted with Sheffield silver mounts. The set was made by Wade, Wingfield, and Rowbotham of Sheffield and both the box and knife blade bear their trade marks. The set is in very good overall condition, the only defect being one non working clasp on the box.
