Welcome to Prints with a Past. Since 1997 we have shared our love of original antique and vintage prints with our clients. The business grew out of our enjoyment in antiquing while living in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and collecting prints for our home and to give as gifts. We take great pride in presenting a diverse selection of original engravings and lithographs from the late 1700s through early 1900s, and sharing the story about each one. —Your hosts, Nancy and Dick Bossler.
Why we love this
Vibrant pochoir print featuring Art Deco fashions by the French haute couture designers Jeanne Lanvin (1867-1946) and Jean Patou (1880-1936). Lanvin is also known for her cosmetics, and Patou is considered the "inventor" of the tennis skirt. From a 1923 issue of the Parisian fashion journal "Art-Gout-Beatute" (Art-Good Taste-Beauty). Printed using the pochoir process, a method of hand coloring prints using stencils. Includes a certificate with additional information.
