Located in Midtown East Manhattan, the Phyllis Lucas Gallery/Old Print Center has one of the largest collections of antique prints and fine art in New York City. With a long and storied history, our gallery holds the distinction as the first publisher of Salvador Dali’s lithographs in America and has been among the foremost of the city's dealers in antique works on paper since its founding in 1928.
Why we love this
Set of two watercolor paintings of the French countryside by André Raffray (1925-2010). One depicts two lakeside thatched-roof cottages with a stone wall, and the other shows a castle and two thatched-roof cottages. Raffray studied under André Rigal and worked from 1953 to 1982 on various projects for Gaumont Film Company. Displayed in 1/2" antiqued giltwood frames with beaded inner edges; 1 7/8" dark brown acid-free, 4-ply mat. Image: 4.25"L x 9.5"H.
