Batten Road was born in the ‘70s when a crazed book-lover returned from college to work in Soho at one of the country's (world's??) most famous Art & Architecture bookstores. To feed the addiction (and rent), she quickly picked up two other jobs so the love affair with books need not end. Eventually, the addiction grew to hunting for wonderful decorative accessories, furniture, tabletop and lighting.
Why we love this
All the President's Men by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward. Simon & Schuster, 1974. Book Club edition from first year of publication with original jacket. 349 pages with photographs. The political story of the century told in a blockbuster book which led to a blockbuster movie. Forever a part of the American psyche. Taped repairs to jacket, spotting to outer top page edges.
