Original chromolithograph of Oncidium Lanceanum as published with three folds, by Paxton in 1848. Image size: 12.75 x 8.75 inches; Outside mat size: 16.375 x 12.75 inches. Found in Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianias and Trinidad. at elevations of 300 to 500 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing plant that blooms in the summer and fall with fragrant, waxy, long-lasting, variable colored flowers. They are the largest single type of bananas consumed worldwide.
