6-Panel Japanese Byobu Screen
Six-panel Japanese byobu screen painted a beautiful landscape with birds, bamboo, trees, and flowers. Kano School tradition. Watercolor and gouache on gold-leafed paper, silk border, lacquered black wood frame, six brass hangers in Asian style, paper on back. Very good condition overall: all hinges are strong and tight, small damage on a on a cloud on fourth panel, two on back, minor age wear overall. Made in Japan, circa 1950s. 39"H with hangers up.
