Why we love this
A very pretty Chinese Silver Leaf 4-panel folding screen depicting a graceful landscape with horses, trees and mountains on background. Gouache and watercolor over silver-leaf on paper. Silk border, lacquered black wood frame with beautifully engraved metal hardware showing dark age patina. Silk on back. Beautifully aged. Soft warm colors. Excellent condition: gently used, no damage to the painting nor back, strong hinges, sturdy and clean. China, circa 1920-1940s.
