Pair of hand-colored engravings from a mid-1800s edition of the "First Tours of Dr. Syntax" highlighting the fictional escapades of the 1800s British clergyman Dr. Syntax. The illustrations are by the English artist and caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson (1756-1827). Prints are titled "Dr. Syntax & The Bees" and "Dr. Syntax Entertaining at College." Each measures 8.5"L x 5.5"H. Includes a certificate with additional information.
