French Art Deco Armchair, 1940s
A very stylish late Art Deco armchair with stained beechwood frame and upholstered seat and back, French circa 1940. Flat armrests broaden and swing out with a gentle curve. Classic Deco style is evident in the flared seat back, with its broad top and carved-out angled sides. Lightly tufted with five covered buttons. Cream colored heavyweight duck cloth wraps the seat and all around the back rest, while thick brown piping traces all the edges. Seat height is 16.5".
