Why we love this
1970s cocktail ring, gold over sterling, synthetic color-change purple sapphire. The asymmetrical design offers a large round center stone in a raised setting, held by prongs on one side and a triangular bar pave-set w/ clear crystals on the other. The stone is the thing here, beautifully faceted in a deep cut; but oh the color -- a rich purple scintillating with hints of red and blue as the light flashes through & around it. Stone, 0.65" dia; size 8.
