Exquisite monumental 6-panel Screen depicting a beautiful landscape with graceful red-crowned cranes. Yamato-e style - gold pigment sprayed on paper. Gouache and gold pigment "myst" on paper. Silk border. Lacquered wood frame, metal hardware. Layers of washi paper on back (a very expensive process). Very good condition: some age wear overall, repairs on hinges between 1 and 2, 5 and 6 panels and back, minor water damage,sturdy. Japan, Edo Era, circa 1800-1850s. 24.75" W x 4.5"D x 68.60"H folded
