Photogravure by German photographer and teacher Karl Blossfeldt (1865-1932) from his seminal early-20th-century book of monographs "Urformen der Kunst." Blossfeldt constructed his own cameras to magnify his subject 30x to craft compositions. N2 equisetum hiemale, a young shoot of winter horsetail, enlarged 12 times, an equisetum maximum, fox-tailed asparagus, enlarged 4 times, and an equisetum hiemale, a young shoot of winter horsetail, enlarged 18 times. Excellent condition; never framed.
