A set of four kitchen tea towels dating from the middle of the 20th century. They were made by the well know French company "Metis" and bear their cloth tag. They were probably made for the Belgian market given their colors are those of the Belgian flag. Towels such as these when made for the French market are invariably red and white. They are either cotton or cotton linen mix and are in very good as found condition with no damage or stains.They measure 28.5" x 12.5" and were found near Ghent.
